Two existing schools in two neighbouring locations in Maastricht are merging to form a new school with a key focus on the environment, nature and the use of sustainable building materials. Thanks to its sustainability and environmental credentials, Accoya siding was the ideal choice for the soon to be named: IKC de Geluksvogel. The green and environmental section will be called Landgoederenzone and will be located at the head of a green development area that extends into the countryside.
Designed by prestigious architect Misak Terzibasiyan of Uarchitects from Eindhoven, Accoya was also specified thanks to its dimensional stability and class 1 durability. Distributed by Boogaerdt Hout and supplied by Warebo Productions B.V. the Accoya facades were coated using a Drywood Woodstain Equal Weathering.
