This residential home sits high above Long Island Sound in New York with an amazing panoramic ocean view. Pioneer Millworks manufactured the exterior siding. They used 2250 sq ft of Accoya with their signature Shou Sugi Ban Deep Char finish.

Accoya was chosen for stability and because of the unique look of the wood surface after the Shou Sugi Ban charring was applied. This home is on the ocean, so Accoya’s durability and 50-year warranty were also significant factors because of the harsh weather conditions associated with oceanfront homes.
