Accoya chosen for a private residence in Cairngorms National Park

East Scotland

United Kingdom

Accoya was selected as the ideal cladding material for the residence of a home in East Scotland. Supplied by Russwood, the Accoya cladding was vacuum coated to limit the heat loss of the building.
Accoya was chosen for this project due to its attractive aesthetic appearance, low maintenance and sustainable credentials.

The building is laid to limit heat loss and beneficially utilise solar gain. The house also uses an extensive control system allowing users to operate the lights or adjust the room temperature from their Smartphones. Plus, it enables the client to monitor the building remotely and switch on, for example: the heating, before returning home.
