Accoya wood has been used to create an outstanding outdoor living space in the backyard of a private residence in Norway. The backyard is across multiple levels, but the revamped project incorporates this effortlessly by creating different purposes at the top and bottom of the Accoya wood staircase. In total, 9,678 ft of Accoya were used.

At the top of the backyard, a beautiful outdoor kitchen is accessed through French doors directly from the home. This extends the living space for the home owners, giving them a brilliant new space to enjoy. The outdoor kitchen has a pergola covering the entire space as well as louvres to give shade and privacy. Underfoot, decking has been laid, and to one side, a number of cabinets have been installed.

At the bottom of the backyard, the louvre fence lines the parameter on one side, adjoining to a glass wall which enhances the view over the trees. The decking is used again here, this time around the sunken hot tub. All elements of the space were made with Accoya because of its outstanding durability, stability, and sustainability. No coating was applied to the Accoya, leaving the wood to naturally weather over time.

The Accoya wood was supplied by Accoya approved Norwegian distributor, Woodlink and manufactured into the different applications by local contractor, TMJ Entreprenør. The project was completed in 2022.
