Accoya was chosen as the ideal product for the historical heritage building No.9, in Bermuda.
Hired by Correia Construction, uncoated Accoya products were installed by the BS&R Group, the Accoya stocking distributor in Bermuda. Accoya was chosen for the sash windows and exterior millwork due to its ability to last 50 years above ground and the fact that it can be left to weather, requiring minimal maintenance.
Accoya was also selected as it’s long-lasting even in the most extreme weather environments, due to the project being so close to the sea it was vital that a high-performing and durable wood was selected as it needed to cope well with moisture.
BS&R was delighted to be involved with saving such a historical piece of Bermuda heritage and were also very happy to use Accoya as it’s such a green building material and aided with Bermuda’s environmental efforts.
