AEC DAILY – LEARN ABOUT ACETYLATED WOOD
Accoya wood has completed the qualification process for its online continuing education course titled Acetylated Wood: Durable, Stable, Sustainable Wood for Windows, Doors and Siding. The course qualifies for one learning unit HSW/SD through AIA and one GBCI CE hour for LEED professionals through USGBC.
The program outlines the process of wood acetylation, comparing and contrasting the improvements of acetylated wood over other methods of preserving wood and other timbers. It also compares the durability, dimensional stability, coatings performance and environmental benefits of acetylated wood versus other treated timbers and species.
We are pleased to offer architectural and design professionals an objective overview of acetylated wood. The course will also highlight the environmental benefits and carbon footprint of acetylated wood – it is incredible how well acetylated wood scores compared to commonly used building materials.
