The Minnewaska State Park Preserve’s new 5600-square-foot visitor center  is located on Shawangunk Mountain ridge and is one of the most unique and beautiful parks in New York state. It has a tiered, angular roofline and windows that stretch from floor to ceiling. The preserve’s nearly 500,000 annual park-goers are a major economic drive for Ulster County, helping push the county’s per-year tourist total to a county-estimated 5.3 million visitors.

Accoya wood was chosen for it’s durability among this high amount of foot traffic. The ventilated façade is a wire brushed Accoya tongue and groove siding manufactured by Delta Millworks. The wood columns, sunshades and deck are all made from Accoya wood too.
