This property was built for a German professional surfer, Flo Jung, who wanted an eco-friendly home.

Although located in South Africa, Jung opted to use an Austrian distributor, Hechenblaickner, to supply the Accoya wood for this project. He built the home himself and chose Accoya due to the constant exposure to the sea air and sun.

Accoya wood has been used for the exterior cladding and decking.

The wood has been oiled, keeping its natural color and over time will weather to reveal a silver patina.
