Hoover’s selected installation, titled “Infinite Crescendos,” is a playful suspended pairing of the Bonnaroo infinity logo and Hoover’s “Crescendo” sculpture series. The three spirals cascading from the skylight are positioned to create a triangle of three circles when looking at it from the base.

Hoover’s selected installation, titled “Infinite Crescendos,” is a playful and enchanting composition. It combines the iconic Bonnaroo infinity logo with Hoover’s renowned “Crescendo” sculpture series. Suspended from the skylights, three spirals cascade gracefully to create a captivating triangle of circles when viewed from the base. The installation captures the essence of movement and rhythm, inviting viewers into a world of infinite possibilities.

The realization of this magnificent art installation has been made possible through the support and funding from Arts at the Airport and the Bonnaroo Works Fund. The Bonnaroo Works Fund, as the charitable arm of the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival®, and BNA®’s Arts at the Airport program have joined forces to bring Cie Hoover’s artistic vision to life.

Visitors to Nashville Airport will be delighted by the sight of Hoover’s “Infinite Crescendos” suspended from the ceilings of Concourses B and C. Positioned strategically in the skylights, the installation interacts with natural light, casting captivating shadows and illuminating the space with an ethereal ambiance. The exhibition will be on display for viewers to enjoy and engage with until April 7, 2024.

To bring his vision to life, Hoover carefully selected Accoya wood, a remarkable and sustainable material that served as the ideal canvas for the artwork. This innovative wood, derived from sustainably sourced timber and enhanced through acetylation, provided exceptional durability, dimensional stability, and resistance to rot and weathering. With Accoya wood as his medium, Hoover unleashed his creativity and created a captivating installation that will inspire viewers for years to come. His choice of Accoya wood also reflects a commitment to sustainability and responsible artistry, sparking conversations about the importance of using eco-friendly resources in artistic endeavors.
