Case Study
Accoya replaces Iroko
Manufactured by The Period Door Company Accoya was chosen to replace an existing Iroka door. The owner was tired of the door cracking and having to repaint it yearly which required a lot of maintenance and locking issues.
The Period Door Company suggested Accoya as the best solution for new wooden front doors and a great investment due to its 50 year guarantee, dimensional stability and its ability not to shrink or swell. A new design unit was built to replicate the old one but Accoya allowed for modern standard being met; this meant that Heritage multipoint locks and Slimlite crown double glazing (built from solid Accoya) could be used.

Accoya door for dream family home
Homeowner and Instagram home design influencer, @thehappybuild chose Accoya for her wooden front door and canopy.
This self-build project was undertaken to provide the dream family home and was designed by local architects, Rayner Davies.
Approved manufacturer, Brookeswood Joinery Ltd was involved in the project to manufacture and install the Accoya wooden front door and canopy.
The joinery was coated to darken the natural color of Accoya so that it blends with the alternative wood used for the windows frames.
