Brunner Zimmerei Holzbau GmbH has brought a dream patio to life at a private residence in the hills of Switzerland.

This patio impresses not only with the pool and the beautiful view, but also with the unique Accoya Color decking. The deck boards begin immediately from a back door, continue down a few steps, and then surround the entire swimming pool.

Accoya decking is ideal for use in this environment as it is highly stable and resistant to rotting, even in close and frequent contact with water. Accoya Color adds further benefits, bringing a striking grey yet natural wood board that is coloured to the core. The grey pigment will last for years to come and will only require seasonal cleaning.

The Accoya Color patio even has hidden access to the pool mechanics built-in. On the near side of the decking, closest to the house where the decking is at a higher level, several deck boards are fixed to a metal frame with hinges. This allows for the entire area of the decking to be easily lifted up and the maintenance of the pool can be attended to. The use of hidden fixings here, and across the entire decked patio, means this access point is not visible when closed.
