At Inverness College, at the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI), Accoya approved distributor, Russwood, supplied Accoya wood cladding for Solasta House. Accoya wood was the chosen material for the cladding as it is a natural, low maintenance product.

The project architects, Threesixty Architecture, selected Accoya cladding by Russwood, and the chosen cladding profile was 47mm × 25mm and 73mm × 50mm (on edge). The Accoya cladding was also factory coated by Russwood before installation using Teknos FI-024. This coating ensured a consistent appearance, masking the natural wood weathering process as well as adding warmth and texture to the building.

Russwood supplied Accoya A1 grade timber, made up of 150mm x 50mm boards on modular panels for easy and quick installation. Robertson Construction was the main contractor on the project and was responsible for the installation of the Accoya cladding.

The project was completed in 2018.
