Accoya wooden garden gate for Georgian townhouse
The garden transformation was overseen by local landscapers, Gardenproud Limited. They were responsible for the design, putting a modern twist on a traditional Georgian townhouse courtyard in Tunbridge Wells.
The requirement to use Accoya and Tricoya meant involving a third party who had the knowledge and expertise for working with such materials. Based in Maidstone, Accoya approved manufacturer, Knights Joinery took on the job and manufactured this enclosed trellis and wooden garden gate. Complete with finials, this “walled garden” effect was created. Accoya was used because it can be fashioned into any design and shape whilst withstanding the varied elements of English weather.

This wooden outdoor furniture is available in six different sizes, and in a range of coatings and colours, is constructed using moveable boomerang shaped Accoya sections hinged along a linear steel axis. Accoya was chosen for the wooden garden furniture for its impressive environmental credentials and ability to withstand constant reconfiguration by visitors.
The multi-functional sculpture won the top award at the Design Days Dubai Urban Commissions competition in 2015 which invited residents of the UAE to design a public seating installation. Accoya is distributed by Alashrafy in Dubai.
