This stunning farmhouse was completely renovated to the very highest standards in 2023 and Midland Conservatories Ltd were chosen to replace the timber windows and doors with Accoya wood and install new Accoya bi-folding doors within the swimming pool extension.
As part of this extensive project, the existing timber windows and doors were replaced the Accoya windows and doors, for a modern, high-performance alternative. The original wooden casement windows were replaced with new ones that retained the classic design but featured modern double glazing and enhanced security locking systems.
This upgrade not only improved the farmhouse’s energy efficiency but also reinforced its security, all while preserving the traditional look of the property.
The renovation also involved replacing the front, side, and rear doors with bespoke Accoya doors, chosen for their durability and stability.
These doors were crafted with insulated Accoya panels and fitted with high-security multipoint locking systems, providing a strong yet elegant entrance.
Painted in a sophisticated black using Teknos paint, the new doors offered a striking visual contrast while enhancing the farmhouse’s grandeur.
This blend of modern security features with traditional aesthetics ensured that the entrances remained both stylish and secure.
A significant addition to the property was the construction of a swimming pool extension, complete with a sauna and jacuzzi. To harmonise this modern facility with the rest of the farmhouse, we designed and installed two large sets of custom Accoya bi-folding doors. The first set measured nearly 2.5 metres tall by 7 metres wide, and the second set was almost 2.8 metres tall by 5.7 metres wide.
Both sets featured raised and fielded panels with Georgian bars, maintaining the traditional charm of the property. These bi-folding doors provided a seamless transition between the indoor pool area and the outdoor spaces, allowing the owners to enjoy the best of both worlds.
In summer, the doors can be fully opened to merge the indoor and outdoor areas, while in winter, they offer robust protection, ensuring the pool area remains usable year-round.
