Accoya boardwalk paves the way for hiking trail in Bergen Norway

The newly completed hiking trail along Mount Løvstakken in Bergen, known as Løvstien, has quickly become a popular attraction for both locals and tourists. This trail features a 383-metre-long pedestrian bridge, connecting the two parts of Løvstien, and spans a total length of 6.4 kilometers from end to end.

The project was supplied by Woodlink, a distributor of Accoya wood in Norway. Accoya, known for its high performance and durability, was chosen for the decking boards due to its long-lasting, non-toxic properties, making it an ideal choice for the natural environment of the trail. To enhance safety, anti-slip grips from Gripsure were also installed, ensuring a secure and comfortable experience for hikers.

The combination of Accoya wood and Gripsure anti-slip grips reflects a commitment to quality and sustainability, ensuring that the trail not only blends seamlessly with its surroundings but also stands the test of time. This trail offers a unique opportunity to experience the beauty of Bergen’s natural landscapes while enjoying a well-constructed and environmentally friendly hiking path.
