The residential complex Voorhaven Middenkous in Rotterdam was built in the late 1980s and early 1990s. More recently, the window and door frames of 30 flats were given a thorough examination. The façades, balcony railings, window and door frames of the flats were in poor condition and needed renovation.

The team at Infinity Repair, Accoya approved manufacturer, came on board and advised that the frames should be tackled at the core by replacing the lower lying parts of the frames and the frame corners between the sill and the posts, whilst leaving the rest intact. Accoya wood was chosen for the replacement areas of the frames for longevity and circular construction.

As a result, the new Accoya frames will not only offer more comfort to the residents of these flats but they are also the sustainable choice and will help to reduce CO2 emissions in the longer term.
