Accoya wood, distributed in Japan by Ikegami has been used for the cladding and exposed roof area of the new railway terminus Takaosanguchi station.
Located in Japan’s Tokyo’s prefecture and designed by renowned architect Kengo Kuma, the two-storey building is intended as a relaxation spot for both tired hikers and area residents.
Mount Takao is one of Tokyo’s top hiking spots and is in fact so popular that it’s often best avoided on weekends and around holidays. Keio Takaosanguchi Station, the hub through which most Takao visitors pass, has received a much-needed upgrade this year.
