This private barn house in Barneveld, designed by Architectuurstudio Haver and constructed by Bouwbedrijf van Wolfswinkel, is a true masterpiece of sustainability and modern design.
For the frames of this biobased home, sustainably modified wood, Accoya, was specified, and Tricoya was used for the exterior doors. To maintain the natural hue of the house, a transparent stain from Ecotec was applied. Thanks to this treatment, Accoya and Tricoya will preserve their beautiful natural shades and resist aging. Behind the structural brilliance was Gravitas, led by Robert van Pijkeren, who brought structural perfection to this project.
The project is an inspiring example of how sustainability and aesthetics can go hand in hand. The use of Accoya wood not only contributes to the visual appeal of the house but also to long-term sustainability. It is a beautiful symbol of how biobased materials can shape the future of construction, resulting in a home that stands out not only for its stunning design but also for its respect for nature and the environment.
