Highly Durable
Different thicknesses of Accoya wood and techniques such as finger jointing and lamination make Accoya timber louvres possible in a wide variation of sizes.
Highly Stable
Accoya wood is exceptionally stable with minimal shrink and swell. You can be confident that Accoya louvres screens will stay looking fantastic for years to come.
Low Maintenance
Often installed at height making them difficult to maintain. Accoya wood is the material of choice as the low maintenance solution for external louvres.
Sustainably Sourced
Accoya wood is FSC® certified, 100% recyclable and non-toxic meaning you can choose timber louvres that are kind to the Earth and high-performance.
Case Study
Accoya louvres at Broadbeach Waters
On the Gold Coast of Australia, architect Jayson Pate Design, specified Accoya wood for one of three villas they designed and built simultaneously. The project was completed in 2020.
The three villas are of similar style with the majority of the property painted white but each has a contrasting element of louvres or cladding. The third property in the row has Accoya louvres, installed alongside light-coloured stone. The Accoya was stained with a Grey Cutek Decking Oil.
Accoya is the ideal material for louvres as it’s highly stable and durable. It also has a low thermal gain and so will remain cool in the height of the Australian Summer, helping to keep the property cool by providing shading.
Coatings & Finishes
A variety of colours and coatings can be implemented on Accoya cladding. Let yourself be inspired by a few examples.
Tried and Tested
Over the past two decades, Accoya wood has been tested extensively by 3rd parties. Their reports showcase the excellent performance and outstanding benefits of Accoya wood, and, in particular, Accoya façades.

Accoya louvre screens at Blackwood apartments
Distributed by Britton Timbers, Accoya was selected for the louvres/external screening on the North Apartments, Blackwood street in Melbourne.
Accoya was chosen due to its durability, stability and FSC certification. The 40x40mm were coated using Woca external tinted Primer and an additional coating of Woca external Walnut oil. The louvers were then fixed from behind onto powder coated black material frames.
