Accoya weatherboard cladding

Exterior protection with style and substance

The right choice of materials can transform a building project, not only aesthetically but also with regards to energy efficiency, weatherability and longevity.

Accoya wood is the ultimate substrate for weatherboard cladding – offering low maintenance requirements, industry-leading environmental and sustainability credentials, and the performance characteristics of the most durable tropical hardwoods.

Timber weatherboards can be machine profiled to exacting design and specification requirements. Accoya can be left to weather naturally but is also a very stable substrate for coatings, resulting in significantly less maintenance than is the case for other timbers. Exceptional stability means that tolerances remain tight and distortion is insignificant, even with wide boards giving architects and specifiers the ultimate in design flexibility.

What are weatherboards?

What are weatherboards?

Weatherboard cladding is the most protective cladding system for private homes and commercial buildings. The weatherboard is fixed directly onto the building exterior and each board overlaps so that the top of the cladding panel is covered by the panel secured above.

This design style is very popular and you are most likely to see a weatherboard house in coastal and exposed locations across Australia.

All cladding types, including timber weatherboards offer improved insulation. It is important to choose a high-quality, resistant and durable material for weatherboards to be most effective. Accoya is the ideal choice.
