Making use of renewable raw materials and the efficient construction method allows Roelof van der Werff a low carbon footprint in the construction of this boat. Constructed in the Netherlands Werffboat 21 has built the boat with 85% of the renewable raw material wood using two layers of durable Accoya wood, mutually connected by glass fiber and epoxy resin.
