Accoya was used for the cladding on the sports hall of the Carl-Zeiss primary school in Bremen. The wood cladding made from sustainable Accoya was chosen to underline the energy-efficient construction and also for its beautiful aesthetics. The architects wanted to achieve a creative interplay with the historical plastered design of the school building opposite and the adjoining brick facade of the original sports hall.
The property was completed in October 2017 and was photographed again in late 2020, three years after construction was completed. The photos show that after three years the Accoya facade still looks like it did on the first day. Thanks to its excellent dimensional stability and durability, Accoya will remain flawless for years and hardly need any maintenance. The Accoya cladding on the sports hall will no doubt provide joy to many generations of students.
