Accoya was selected for the decking due to its low thermal gain, making it ideal for barefoot contact, safely secured using SPAX fixings. Accoya wood was also chosen for both the front and garage doors as it offers a consistent quality.

Accoya was fixed to the garage door in a sectional design, which resulted in over 3,300 screws being used. Due to the design the door can be opened in sections and then upon closing the slats line up. The client also created Accoya handles to match both doors.
