In 2008 the owners of the stunning houseboat, The Enkeling, selected Accoya wood for all of its wooden shutters. The clients Marco Mensink and Ljalja van Halderen stated: “We searched the internet for low-maintenance woods and arrived on the Accoya website. The qualities of the wood, its long life span and minimal maintenance immediately attracted us to it.”

The boat, including the Accoya, has been painted once every 4 years. After almost 12 years, with minimal maintenance, the Accoya shutters still look fantastic.

The owners are so pleased with the quality of the Accoya shutters they are now looking into restoring larger sections of the boat with Accoya wood.
