The designer is Gatis Didrihsons from Didrihsons architects and the interior designer is Eva Staņeviča. The developer is SIA DOMUSS, which has been on the Latvian real estate scene for 24 years.
Applications used in this project: Cladding
“The architecture of this office building is based on functionality and clarity. Its image is created by two wooden structures connected by a single, glass central space with a cozy front yard entrance. The Accoya wood chosen for the facade is a unique solution in the Baltics. It comes from sustainable wood manufacturers and is the world’s most durable wood against moisture and sun”
Gatis Didrihsons, the building’s architect.
Accoya wood was sold by SBM Fastwood, the leading Accoya distributor in the Baltics. Working with local partner TC Grupa Latvia factory assembled panels from Accoya elements were created in two different thicknesses and five different widths. Around 50 m3 of Accoya wood was used for this project and the Accoya facade is approx. 1000 m2.
All the Accoya timber cladding was planed in Estonia and sent to Latvia during 2019. Local partners TC Grupa SIA took care of coating with a light Teknos finish, assembly and delivery to the site where the building was fully completed in November 2019.
Accoya wood was chosen for the façade of this stunning office building due to its long lasting benefits. Accoya is durable, stable and gives architects the design freedom to create such stunning designs, knowing the wood will not cup, distort or rot.
