Accoya has been chosen for the MahaSamutr (meaning “The Ocean”) project in South East Asia. The project is Hua Hin’s first and only Private Country Club and exclusive Luxury Villa development, built around Asia’s first Crystal Lagoon and manmade beach. The project comprises 88 luxury villas, a country club house, a sports complex and a boat house.

Accoya was selected by Japanese Architects Kengo Kuma and Associates, for the cladding, fencing, eves, landscaping and decking throughout the development. A renowned Japanese firm, Thai Obayashi was appointed the main contractors for the Mahasamutr, which was developed by Pace Development. In conjunction with the project organisers, Pace Development also installed the famous Bangkok landmark, The Mahanakorn Tower, within the design.

Accoya was chosen to feature throughout the project due to its durability and stability. To date, the Mahasamutr has used around 500m³ of Accoya and additional material will be delivered between November 2016 – June 2017.
