An outdoor wooden deck made of sustainable Accoya wood has been installed in Schwanden near Brienz, Switzerland.

The wooden deckboards are finger-jointed and are 6 meters long. This ensures a continuous appearance over the entire surface which is achievable due to the dimensional stability of Accoya wood.

The decking was planed and left uncoated, which is not a problem in decking as Accoya wood has a 50 year warranty above ground against rot.

The Accoya wood was distributed, manufactured and installed by local Swiss companies.
