The White Stone residence is a waterfront family home situated on 8 acres of land overlooking the Rappahannock River and Chesapeake Bay. This modern house is divided into 4 pavilions: sleeping space, living space, auto/storage space, and working/recreation area.
The exterior cladding is provided by reSAWN TIMBER co. They used NIGRI shou sugi ban charred Accoya wood as part of this modern renovation. This style can be used for both interior and exterior wall cladding.
Accoya wood was chosen because of the decades of research and development that has brought together a long-established, extensively proven wood modification technique and leading-edge patented technology – acetylation. This creates a high-performance wood ideal for outdoor use and challenging applications.
