Accoya decking around two beautiful natural pools near Biarritz

The pools of two villas on France’s Atlantic coast have each benefited from a stunning Accoya deck. Installed by Gaius Terra & Aqua, Alexander Pearson the general manager, is increasingly using Accoya wood decks and joists because this wood is perfectly suited to withstand the outdoors and is ideal for the pool area. Also, Accoya is a natural, solid and non-toxic wood,  fundamental for  pool decks because no toxins can be leached into the water or the soil.

The first of the two decks is made of 25 x 190mm sections forming the of 120m² of Accoya deck. The second deck is a grander 240m² using 20 × 145mm boards. The terrace was laid on an existing tile, on a structure composed of 75mm joists. This type of wooden deck is possible with Accoya due to its excellent durability supported by a 25-year warranty.

For these two terraces, Gaius Terra & Aqua used B-fix invisible clip fasteners that avoid the use of unsightly screws. This system is perfectly adapted to the stability of wood like Accoya.
