Designed by Arcadia Landscape Architecture and realised by Tilt Industrial Design, this unique, sustainable and engaging outdoor space features a custom-designed playground including this impressive Play Pod structure. These curved glulam beams and battens were fabricated by Curvwood using Accoya wood, which was supplied by Mathews Timber Sydney.

It was imperative that the Play Pod structure not only looked impressive but was made from a material with good stability, high durability in often harsh conditions and sustainability credentials.

Accoya was the obvious choice.

With all the benefits Accoya wood provides including the 50 year guarantee, it meant that the site was delivered with minimal environmental impact and awarded a 6 Star Green Star Design rating by the Green Building Council of Australia, representing world leadership.

196 lineal metres (or 2 cubic metres) was used to complete the project.

Using a glulam process, the Accoya wood was sliced into lamellas, glued then clamped into the specified radius.

Osmo UV Protection Oil 420 Clear Satin was applied as the final element to the finished pieces.
