High performance Accoya® has been specified for ten limited edition, interactive functional art structures, known as the M-Velope.
Created by world renowned designer, Michael Jantzen, the M-Velope is a structure which can function as a meditation space, a garden retreat, a sun shelter, a party pavilion, a work of art... the list goes on.
The M-Velope’s interactivity allows the Accoya® slatted panels to be moved into many different formats to change its shape. The metamorphic qualities of Jantzen’s creation not only alter the visual perception of the structure, but also alter the light quality and the opacity within the space which is large enough to seat 8 people.
Jantzen specified Accoya® for use in the construction of the M-Velope because it is produced from sustainably grown forests and is treated with a non-toxic process that gives the wood a 50-year life above ground.
